A virtual
meet and greet.

Whether you want to get to know me first, or have already read a few posts and want to know who is behind this (hopefully) informative blog, I’m glad you’re here. Hi! Let me tell you a bit about me and my journey.

I'm Eric Franklin.

A technology enthusiast who enjoys getting his mind blown by awesome innovations in the field. I’m mostly self-taught because I decided to get into the software industry after working as a teacher. Solving problems through code is the one thing that keeps me occupied all the time; I’ve pulled many all-nighters in the quest to build functional, user-friendly software. I try to stay updated on the happenings of the tech world, and my blog is an ode to everything I’ve learned over the past few years.

mY mission

Harness the power of knowledge and create something incredible.

I was not a prodigy or a genius as a child. Neither do I claim to be one now. Some people say that extraordinary tech can only be built by extraordinary minds. Well, I would beg to differ. Anyone can build something wonderful, if only they apply themselves and work towards it.

I think much of what we call intelligence is nothing but acquired knowledge applied well. You learn something, you understand how to use it, then see a situation that can benefit from this new learning, and use it there! This is the simple premise on which most technology—old and new—has been built. My journey has been all about this cycle: learn, understand, apply, repeat. And it has gotten me to places I never would’ve dreamt of being at!

Now, I have taken it upon myself (you can call it a “mission” if you like) to talk about what I know and help other people seek out their interests. Millions of people around the world are focusing on building tech-based careers because they know that it’s the future. Well, it has certainly gained a stronghold in our world today, and we can only wait to see what happens next. Will you see it with me?
